A change in a club always seems to help, especially when local lads take up the role, Rowley Knox and the man Neil Jukes, what a team! even though knoxy is Cumbrian, hes bin down here that long he'll do!

Rowley also had some first team and reserve team players assisting 'behind the scenes' as well making it a more team effort than has been seen of late.

I've got to say one of the things i've been most impressed with is Neil Jukes he was a good player with us but the enthusiasm and professionalism he has brought together with his on field directions have been a big boost Well Done Jukesy, anyone remember his drop goal v Hunslet the worst i have ever seen

I'll be honest I know the name but I can't say I remember Neil playing for Leigh at all and I've been watching us since the early 80's.

He played Loose Forward can't think of the years am sure a parky will tell us his stats. From what i've been told he transformed St Judes team fortunes around.

Started 9 sub in a further 3, 4 tries 1995-96 Centenary season

Started 2 sub in 1 1996 season

Started 14 sub in 1 3 tries, 1DG, think it was in a 13-12 home win over Hunslet 1997 season.



I also think he played for Rochdale too before returning to Ince Rosebridge.

The drop goal was v Hunslet it hit the crossbar stopped for a second then went ove i thought the ball was popped!!!

Would probably explain why I don't remember him too well seeing as he'd didn't make that many appearances during his time here.

Neil did an excellent job when coach at Ince Rose Bridge, his enthusiasm and love of the game is second to non. I am sure it will rub off on his young players. Good luck from all the Bridge lads
