I think he'll struggle also. Creatively he's not good enough, and his positional kicking is abysmal. Unless we pick up yet more injuries in training or before the game, I can't see him getting a spot.

Im glad Deacon feels this way. Infact, I'd prefer it if 1-17 felt like this too. If everyone is fighting to get a spot in the team then no-one can let up on their performances because it means they're gonna be dropped. I think it'd bring some much needed consistancy to the side



Also, I feel it'd be foolish to change the dynamic of a side that played so well at saints by altering one of the players in a pivotal role

Well he played - how did he go on?

he had a cracking first half , and even made a couple of breaks. looked tired in the 2nd half and i think he was targeted a bit as a weeak spot in the defensive line.



Think it was the right call to let sykes do the big kicks ( goal line drop outs ) think hes got more power these days

He looked the sharpest he has done from a fair while maybe the knee has really being effecting him.

Well I think Deacon might have gotten the wake up call he's needed for awhile. For too long he's been an automatic selection at Bradford and that has weakend us as a team as regardless of form he's in the team and is being asked to lead us round the park. The team proved at St's that Deacon is not required for us to win games and I hope that McNamara will stick to his pre-season promise that underperformers will not get picked

Sorry but that point is a little confusing. Hasn't today shown that he is an automatic selection. After all he was brought straight back in to the side after the side had played well the week before. IMO it would have been a fair call if he'd been at the top of his game before his injury but he wasn't.

Big call to leave a goalkicker as good as he is out of the 13.

It isn't if he hadn't been bringing anything to the team.
