Widnes are obviously a good club but that thrashing by Wigan was an embarrassment to Cheshire rugby.
The Pies aren't quite as good as their fans tell us. Widnes should have put up a better show.

i was watching last night and just before wigans first try i was saying that the widnes defense was too compressed and covering the forwards and all wigan needed to do was spread it wide and you were short. unfortunately it seemed that the plyers didnt learn

Gutted that we put in such a lame performance and were thrashed out of site. Fair play to Wigan. Love them or loathe them, they've got real quality in their side and are bringing on a new crop of good players. For us it's definitely back to the drawing board. Put that one behind us and press on... Hock and Brown can reinvigorate us when both in the team.
