Salford really do look poor so far especially discipline wise and defensively. Still can’t say I’m seeing much from JWH for KR either.

Salford just look terrible this year. All over the shop in defence and no direction or organisation with ball in hand. They have some big bodies in the middle but they're all just immobile plodders.Discipline is even worse

| A lot of people were saying how St Helens got an unfair advantage with Salford's situation in round 1. I'm starting to think they would have posted a large score anyway

Looks like I made the right decision to call it a night at half time.Matt Shaw tweeting players haven't been paid today when they were all expecting to. Something to do with money coming from abroad so has to go through more checks and is therefore delayed. Just seems to be a mess this whole takeover business. Looked like a group of players out there tonight who just weren't happy and really couldn't give a if they lost or not, and as Hull fans we know exactly what that looks like.

Salford certainly look miles away from the team they’ve been in recent years. Looked to be very little togetherness and a fair bit of frustration between team mates. They just don’t look prepared and I actually thought they looked rather like we did last year. Not sure the lack of wages payment had any affect tonight if the reason given for delay is genuine.

| Salford looked like a team of players who’d arranged better deals elsewhere before the Swiss saviour took over. Certainly weren’t playing for the badge were they?

That salford side should have been competitive. No doubt the disruption pre season and no wages dropping yesterday played a massive part in their performance

The Salford situation is becoming more of a shambles by the day, players not getting paid on time is not acceptable and the teams lucky enough to be playing them early in the season makes for an uneven playing field.

B0NES: One season after another Salford always seem to be struggling financially , I don't know why anyone would sign for them knowing their history . Simply not enough fans interested and moving to a new stadium that's further away hasn't helped them. Our club used to tell us we needed 7.5k to break even and the SKY deal was better back then so that number will have increased.

How did the new owners pass the fit and proper test when the funds evidentially are yet to be cleared? Players will be feeling a little silly now after their antics on social media.

So Salford players have been told they won't receive their pay today and are unlikely to get it until next week. I know most of these lads won't be living pay check to pay check but that's really poor and can have big knock on effects of any direct debits that were also due today/ Monday.Salford are now in breach of their contracts. Possibly a good time to start making them offers again. Must surely be a few players who are really ed off with the whole situation and want out. This could easily be a recurring theme each pay day.I wonder if breaking contract like this gives players the option to just walk out, I ain't clued up on contractual issues!

Bringing tomkins back out of retirement and playing Garcia at 9 were two terrible decisions...it feels a bit like they just went out and signed any big name they could rather than thinking who would actually benefit them/where do they need to strengthen

TPJ isn't anywhere close to being fit and Keary hasn't turned up yet. I'm surprised McNamara has lasted as long as he has, their chairman doesn't seem the most patient. The pressure will be on big time now they're 0/3.
