I think you're thinking of the second game of the season at home against London in our first superleague season. We got a penalty with about a minute to go losing 6-4. Everyone was screaming to go for goal but Hunte said we'll take the six. Mark Johnson scored in the corner with the final play of the game giving us an 8-6 win I believe.

I think we were 4-0 down and won 6-4

Actually think we were 4-2 down at the time having thought about it. Though the final score was 6-4.

That was ace, me and my mates still talk about that hit today



What about brad hepi with his rolled up sleeves

Hornes late kick into the corner for Hallas (I think) in the game against Sheffield at the end of the season, then the pitch invasion at the final whistle is probabally one of the best from a bad era.

I remember Tim Wilby standing near us in Threpenny and DDD always saying on the radio that it's great that the chairman (or whatever his job was) chose to stand with the fans, then after an altercation in a bar after a game he said it was naive of him to put himself in that situation by mixing with the fans.

my fave game was horneys debut at leeds in 99 when we nearly beat them - they were hanging on at the end, andrew purcell who i really liked as a player had a stormer



my least fave player was jim leatham who was a model of inconsistency, also thought temu was lazy. lots of p walsh drinking buddies at the club too

Jason Donaghue (sp) got a life ban at Leigh once. The fantastic Tunks made another great signing
