How many "fill in" players should a team have?

How many specialist hookers only do you expect a team to have?

Berrigan isn't a specialist hooker.

No team has specialist back up for every position and with Washbrook we have a better than average "fill in" player: loose forward, off half, scrum half and hooker.

Very surprised to hear only 8 weeks.

seems very short for a broken collar bone

It does, can intensive physio help heal a broken bone quicker?



Brother in law broke his a few years back and wasn't allowed to play for 12 weeks.

Was he a pro, under specialist medical supervision?

It depends on how bad the break is, if it's a hairline fracture or a clean break.

On the collar, in an impact sport?



Hate to say it, but I smell a rat.

No he wasn't, but how does Berro's bone heal quicker than his? Has he been told to drink more milk?

4 - 6 weeks for bone to heal, then 2 weeks hard at it in gym with doctors/phtysions etc etc allassessing him



Plus the condition his body is already in

That was at the beginning of the season after he'd already missed 6 weeks of pre season

But your right he had done same at end of 07 when leaving Hudds , recovered and played first 14 rounds without a problem

Looking at him trying to shake it off before coming off i'd suggest it's hairline. A clean break wouldnt have seen him try to shake it off imo.

Its been confirmed as a clean break so should heal very well.

I've fractured and broken my left collar bone, A doctor told me a break is better than a fracture. Both hurt mind!!

Separated mine a few years ago. Took about 6 weeks before i could start training in the gym again and a further month before i could lift max weights again.



Thought i saw Berro driving yesterday, so it can't be that bad. I couldn't even change gear, due to lack of mobility!
