If say there was about 300 wire fans. Were about on par with core home support. I dare say if we'd have won say 3 out of 4 prior to Friday we would have been looking at over 6k which isn't bad for a sky game. Can't see the point in this cock measuring contest anyway. Cas fans gave always seemed to have had an obsession with crowds. Cas is a rugby mad town we all know that. Wakey is more soccer orientated but with changes being made and the club being run more professionally then there is the potential to tap in to the floating fans and also to being in new spectators. Times are hard at the moment for all fans, look at saints with 6k v quins although playing at the stobart won't help them admittedly but again that's due to costs travelling from at Helens to widnes. It's also like cas playing at belle cue and vice versa.

One factor is that the drifting fans will see Cas v Catalans as a less-glamorous spectacle than say Cas v Hull KR, which is more appealing.



Not denying the fact it was a poor attendance but there are certainly factors to take into consideration.

A lot of attendances across the league this year have been dire, the problem is most grounds are £20+ to get in...do they really think people can afford them prices on a luxury every other week, or 3 of the last 4 weeks for the Cas fans?
