well, probably not.
it annoys me at times when people go, oh look, warrington got a new stadium and look what it did for their crowds.
What they don't realise is that for the 12 months prior to us moving to the H&J, the club undertook a lot and i do mean a hell of a lot of community work. It was ridiculous how many school visits and things like that we did, to get the club out there and kids and parents onside, couple that with crowds being up with the last year at wilderspool so some of the floating support was making an effort and also we were having a good crack at the play offs, with graham appo destroying teams (you may remember a couple of beatings in that period)
It was more down to hard work than just expecting people to turn up. |

We dont' sit on our backsides and do nothing. We have one of the best community programmes in the league and have had for a number of years. We have gone into schools for a long time. |

approx 20 Dragons fans compared with around 5-700 Wire fans and the main problem we have is that you are a city,and we are just a small town in Wakefield. |

good i'm glad, i wasn't saying you weren't, just pointing out the fallacy that gets trotted out that new stadium automatically equals new fan increase.
Its not jsut the case, keep up the good work. |
