We should have dealt with it quite easily by making sure we got the ball dead without the possibility of Catalan getting near it. The problem is that the referee does not have the benefit of video replay and if any doubt they are suppose to favour the attacking team.

I agree even though its not a try it should of never got to that point,kershaw was ambeling back with out a care in the world

Kershaw was not up to speed in defence all game.

It's never the winger on an overlap.

From behind the post everyone was pointing to say we lined up incorrectly. They just passes until they hit the last man. Nothing Kershaw could do.

I agree. I said the same from northstand. You could see before the ball got to Kershaw we were going to be a man short. I’m not sure whether it’s the the SR, Centre or Lino who aren’t pushing out quick enough.



The one major change was Tanginoa for Batchelor. I though Batchelors effort in right edge defence was excellent last week with him sliding effectively and I can’t think why after our best performance of the season in defence why he’d change that.



Poching effectively took our best defensive performance of the year and moved Batchelor to the middle and Crowther to the bench. Changing 2 positions from the starting 13 was unnecessary in my opinion.

Despite what some in the North stand try and sing, Kelepi aint a second rower.

I think he’s a left second rower (where he was immense after he signed for us) what we tried to turn into a prop and then we have tried to swap him to right second row. There’s been an element of mismanagement of Kalepi over last 2 years but presently I would be starting Batchelor at right second row. Kalepi should be on bench as an impact plsyer imo.



Batchelor has always been an edge second row on the right and for some reason this year the coaches have in in their heads that he’s suddenly become a middle. Batch does a good job in the middle but he’s a much better player in the right second row. It’s a little frustrating.

Definitely correct, i was in the North stand and i could see it was going to be a try long before the ball was moved out towards Kershaw.



However just a point, last week many were praising Jamie Shaul for his organising ability. I saw very little of that yesterday ,our line defence was all over the place . He also set the tone of the game by dropping his first high ball catch. He also dropped a couple at Cas. Ok he has good touches in attack but i am not sure he is an improvement on Max.

The problem with the try where we numbered incorrectly was that Shaul went in to loose forward. Not sure why, or who came out to make the tackles but it didn't work.

It was batted back by us and his feet were in the air when he batted it back. The only issue is whether his left foot was on the line or beyond when he leapt.



It is very hard for the ref there. How many times has something looked dead cert out but a slo-mo replay shows otherwise. The ref has an in-goal ref to help, so I presume that ref was looking very carefully at his feet.

It could be said that the final try was questionable but without video coverage understandable but having seen the highlights we were lucky when their player slipped when he looked a certain scorer so I guess you win some you lose some.

Just had a look at highlights on Sky sports rugby league page, guess what, there is a picture with a Warrington and a Castleford player above a caption “Wakefield trinity v Catalans” the whole sport is a shambles.

I prefer my opinion. Kershaw had a defensive mare and Yaha could have scored 5 but they bombed a couple. For the last twenty years, our wingers have been giving free unopposed run in tries on too many occasions by poor defensive structures. You can’t stop them all but we don’t seem to stop many.

First thing I noticed. It’s quite bad that I just carried on as its what I come to expect from a sky sports for their amateur coverage of our game.

The upside of Sky sports is that it shows some of the games in the NRL every week and how professional Fox sport is, the downside of that is it's through Sky sports.

Well it does infact seem that Langi has his foot in the field of play for this try after the trinity tv highlights angle. Apologies to the officials on that one.

So I believe trinity TV shows this was a try.



I didn’t comment on it as I honestly wasn’t close enough but I did think there was a knock on by Catalans at one point in the build up.



Emmy gripe wasn’t really with this try anyway but more with other infringements allowed and missed.
