this forum has become very difficult with the difference of opinions and insults are the last thing we need,

I joined for the banter and to catch up on the clubs situation which I have for the last couple of seasons taken it a bit further and tried to get all involved,

I have met quite a few on here plenty with their own opinion



what we must have to remember is that we all have the club at heart and for all our fall outs we need to support the club at this lowest point in some years,



we have endured seasons of nervousness with relegation hanging over our heads even down to the last game, past and present players in such a short time passing away from us,



=#000080you the fans have supported the Brennan Rooney appeal, the Skye Marie fund, the Adam Watene fund and the Leon Walker predictions league and now Jason Demetriou testimonial year



can we not get back on track with the job in hand and that is the survival of the club at our new ground,



I for one will not give up until there is nothing to support

I came on here because it exists. A chance for me to try and extend my limited knowledge of the game and it's history.

By picking thro' the mud slinging and general 'I am the greatest RL coach ever' posts, I have gleaned a bit.



I am basically just a wee bit shocked that there are so many non'Brit coaches in SL.





There are loads on here, and other sites, that could do at least as good a job, (without the dressing room/background knowledge),

and maybe better, than what there is right now.





Seriously, I am impressed.

A forum is about differing opinion, I don't agree with the name calling etc, but what your after is a mutual appreciation society or love in.

Somebody who blindly follows and jumps to the defence of the club at every opportunity is no better than someone who complains endlessly and pointlessly. Both are found on here and both are fools!

Reasoned debate is the only point of this forum.

As for catchingup on the clubs situation, the lack of info coming forth creates the vacuum for people to interject their own, right or wrong, good or bad.

Cant stand the negetiveness with some people, i remember going to barrow/workington/whitehaven every other week...

yes we are having a bad spell, but been through worst...

I beleive they will turn it around etc....



There is no better coach than john kear available, I think he is in it for the long run, If not, the club will continue with out him...

I've been on here since 2001! Keeping the dream alive........

Well I joined the forum to read other people's opinions and probably some gossip. Later when the urge to speak took over I started posting.

I don't expect everybody to agree with me. Sometimes I may even change my opinion based on the comments on here (but not often

)



I can't say I like the negative feelings towards the club that are developing. I admire the sentiment in the first post and the attempt to bring things round but that is a tough task to take on and one post will not do it unfortunately.



I also agree that blind faith in the club is bad too. Sometimes we need to voice an unpopular opinion to move things forward.

I don't agree with personal attacks on the players through this forum either.

It's an easy rule. Constructive criticism = good. Personal comments = bad.



I've supported the club a long time now. I haven't liked everything that has gone on at the club.

I didn't like it when Andy Kelly got the sack.

I didn't like it when Bobby Goulding was signed.

I certainly didn't like the breakup of the 79 team that should have dominated for a long time.

I didn't like the talk of mergers and I didn't like how the club was managed at a number of periods through that time. The Pearman time especially.

I can't say I always like the way JD is treated by the club or the fans either.

The list is long.



However the list of good thing about the club is longer.

One of those things is this forum.

It is important to keep the different opinions but equally important to keep the welfare of the club at heart.



I started supporting the club primarily because my dad did, but as with most on here I grew to love it and is a big part of my life and a great source of enjoyment to me, even in the tough times.



BUT most importantly, no matter how big the negative list and how long it is since I've added something to the positive list, I'll always support the club. Players and management will change over time. Maybe even the ground! But the club remains constant and that is who/what I support.



I hope the people in here who are upset with the club still support the club but ultimately its up to the individual. I'll be there for the next game and the next after that. When I can't go ill be looking for the scores and reading the papers.... because I support Wakefield Trinity and I'm proud of it too.

Totally agree mate,but lately on this forum it's been a bad buzz.Before after a loss or a win I'd come and read comments and it would get me up for next week,not anymore far too much doom and gloom.
