TrinTrin:
We can beat Leeds, however, after we beat them the 1st time they took stock, they beat us by changing tactics, when we played the ball they initially knew we would pass quickly right or left & a ball player or kicker was 2nd or 3rd receiver, So, their tactic either side of play the ball rushed up. as early as possible to close us down &
Frustrate us, this caused us to be hemmed in & we began to panic & put the ball down or moves broke down due to clamping us in .
It is no secret that Leeds are to use this game as an early curser of play off intensity,
If we start off slow which is our usual norm + we don't change tactics on field to suit the game we will not win, Leeds will not fall into a/the trap of casual play,
We can beat them but it will be close & therefore be prepared for a very, very tough night/game.
I take your point and to paraphrase Russel Crowe, it's all about strategy on the fly... Hull saw this and used a quick outside rush ... Helped massively by laying on the play the ball at length... Other teams have also tried... With varying degrees of success. I think having two genuine playmakers/ kickers on the pitch helps us vary the play. Fascinating game ahead!
PS did you mean precursor rather than curser (which refers to someone who swears a lot)?
