I think what the brigantes has done has been great for the club and I am not aware of any problem they have caused.



Long may it continue. The DW has been dead for many of our games over the years and this group of people have helped to build something at home and some great support away from home.

I'm no kid at +40 years of age, but I get sick of some the moaning that gets posted on here. Not everyone wants to sit down all game moaning about the ref and screaming gerrum on side! Forward you blind git! Bloody refs on their side again! Etc.



Every group will have individuals who push boundaries, the key is to deal with them in a reasonable and appropriate way. This young lad was not!



I stood close by the young lad who threw the toilet roll, he did not intend any malice. It was meant to be a light hearted stunt in response to the banning of flags and drums, the action of the stewards and police was OTT, just like the reaction of some of the posters on here to the Brigantes.



I'm not a member of this group but fully support what they are bringing to the match day experience, and how they have dealt with the one solitary issue at the DW.



Ask your self what do you bring to the match day? Or the greatest club in the world? Is it just your negativity, or maybe you would like a sponsored silence for the whole 80 minutes?

There's nothing wrong with sitting and quietly watching the rugby. Personally I don't enjoy my RL that way. Each to their own.

ALL in the group, not some are in it to try and outdo other clubs supporters.

And the spray paint wasn't ours. Apparently it was a group of lads in high spirits spraying each others hair and faces red.

This 100%, I'm not part of the group except joining in with the great new songs, the people I know who are involved are all top blokes with a passion for the club not kids looking for trouble.

I agree with this and I am all for it and I am an old barsteward.

The Brigantes are the best thing ive seen at Wigan in many years keep the faith you guys are doing a great job.

I am a miserable old curmudgeon, but i whole heartedly applaud what the guys are doing, and it has my full support. Those who think that this group either cause, or are responsible for the actions of some prat who misbehaves, really needs to give their own heads a shake. Most of us know what is acceptable behaviour, and so many people feel they need to blame someone or something for the actions of a minority.

READ MY POST and you will see that I am NOT blaming the Brigantes but stating that we do have a problem which we need to sort out. Also, the till rolls are apps 50 m long, so a trailing stream of 10 m still leaves enough to hurt someone.

All I ask is for people like you to THINK just for a moment what your actions may cause and think how it could affect other people instead of doing what the hell you like and not giving a toss about if you upset others.

What's this "problem" we need to sort out aswell? I haven't seen one arrest and the only problems that there have been ie stickers and spray paint, have all been dealt with by the group themselves. Instead of sitting behind a keyboard thinking your wigans very own boris Johnson, why don't you come to a group meeting or come and see the group at a game and let your feelings known. You'd get far more respect doing it that way and honest answers.

the one qualm i had about the till roll was the fact that when the ball boys went to clean it up, people started throwing more. could very easily have hit one of them.
