Trying to find the reason why we played tonight and not Sunday, a la Warrington.

Because in anybody's book it was a bloody stupid decision.

Was told castle ford wouldn't agree to play Sunday so we had to stick with friday ,as its our home night

We looked knackered, credit to cas that's the best I've seen them play - although why they had a group picture with their fans in the background at the end of the match ill never know? Made them look like an amateur team coming over and playing in the biggest game of their career, surely it can't have been that big of a deal?



Blake Green and Pat Richards were just awful worst game I've ever seen from both of them. Thought Powell had a decent debut, roll on next week.

A la Warrington? We are away to Bradford who play their home games on a Sunday. You were the home team tonight who pay your home games on a Friday because Whelan tells you to during the football season.

You had plenty of notice of our game on Monday. It's poor management at the upper level.

Fair play to Cas tonight, they took it to us and wanted it more. They respected the ball more, ran harder, tackled harder and played the conditions better.



We looked a bit of a rabble but with all the changed over the past few weeks it's understandable. We'll be ok, we just need to ride through this period and get everyone fit.

I would have thought that with the galaxy of youngsters that wigan have they could have come up with a better performance than that.Come back Jack Murphy all is forgiven.

There are many reasons a team doesn't perform. I'd go as far as to say, in RL lack of effort isn't one of them. It's impossible to play well every game, all teams have bad nights. If you have one when fatigued, missing a fair few players and when your opponents play well you will loose. It happens in all sports.



The only important thing is how we are playing at the end of the season when it really matters. We have to make sure the players carrying knocks are fit by then and we'll be in with a chance. Of course it would be nice to win every game and finish top but in reality it doesn't matter.

How did Leeds do at Cas ?

How did wigan do at Leeds?

Totally agree on that one and said exactly the same when your score was announced at the John Smiths Stadium. We had exactly the same problem playing Saints on a Monday night then away to Hull KR on the Friday, and Hull KR usually play their games on a Sunday, wonder why they played our game on the Friday??? And our MD asked Hull KR if we could change the game to Sunday, HKR refused.

Think the RFL should get involved and say anybody playing on a Monday shouldn't have to play on the following Friday.

Come off it. They couldn't even be bothered to form the scrum quickly until it was too late. Effort was lacking as much as application.

Tbh that has got to be the worst performance I have seen since the union side I played for lost 108 nil against pwllheli. And that was when union was 4 points a try and their kicker was crap

Well that is certainly true but things like confidence and momentum matter. Sport is not statistics.

AFAIK both clubs and the rfl have to agree to move a game and understandably Cas said no.



I agree with Ian Millward after your loss at Hull that we should follow the NRL and say anyone playing Monday can't play until at least Saturday.

But none of their tries was as bad as Cas first try. We could have been 12 all at half time or 30 nil down. If Sl was really competative then we would have been humiliated.

I think we would also. What is your view on the 1st try? I thought Tierney grounded the ball so it was dead but the ref thought otherwise.
