I will re-loin having left sometime ago, and i have another 2/3 willing to do the same its my main passion these days watching leyth.
Our aim should be to pass this great club onto our children, we owe the old girl that much at the very least. Recent changes in P & R do nothing to help us attract fans or benefactors so it looks like its down to the townsfolk do it.
Quoteglow="glow"If you mean this appeal statement from the other thread.
Then I see that as being ok to existing supporters, but I was thinking of something a little bit more aimed at the general public, 100 plus years of heritage, those old enough to remember how the town buzzed in the lead up to Wembley, the importance of having a club in the town for local kids to aspire to, the good work the club does in the community, schools, supporting race for life, etc. Lets not lose it, lets support it!
Our Town, Our Team, Our Dream

The thing is Glow , whoever our ' marketing /commercial person is , should have available to him/her 100 free west stand tickets per game to selectively give out , be that as 4 seat family tickets or any other combination , all for one particular block of the West stand , so in your situation , you could ' nominate ' your street to recieve these tickets and the club could ' invite ' your whole street to one match as guests of the club including access to the great room post match
Only people who dont go would get this ' invitation ' , meaning around 1,500 people/potential new fans would get to see a game at the LSV , a place they have probably never set foot inside

i actually agree with you
It's going to take time to attract new fans, the club should 1st offer the 'Lottery' members who pay £1 a week tickets/family tickets - (there were a few big families on the round i did who dont go to games)
Then the club should work with the fans, in this case such as GLOW. If he's willing to do the donkey work then give him around 20 family tickets to give to the people in his street (as a taster) make sure we take details from who ever we give tickets too (email, telephone, address's)

I'd agree, and it would be great if the club would make such a gesture, but I have to be honest and say I don't think many of my neighbours would ever become regular visitors, (some could if given a taste), but in the main we have got quite a good community spirit, and they may offer a donation as their way of support, so I’m willing to see what happens, with or without the tickets.

Do some have kids/grandkids ? , even if it isn't a regular thing , all it is about is creating a ' feelgood ' factor within the stadium and the community , it is after all a ' Council run stadium on behalf of the Leigh and surrounding area's ' , isnt it ?

Yes and thats how we've 'sold' the street parties etc to them in the past, and this and the importance of a community club playing in a community stadium is how I hope to sell it to them this time.
