A lot of them were small "traditional/country" pubs, some where more welcoming than others, a lot weren't food orientated. |

When I was a kid during the Sixties kids were not allowed in pubs at all - we had to sit in the car with a bottle of lemonade and a straw whilst mummy and daddy boozed and no one thought it in the least bit odd , cruel or negligient ...
