We are meeting up at a pub called the Barmy Arms.
Or alternatively we may just enjoy some roast Swan canapes washed down with a cheeky glass of chardonnay from a vintage picnic set in the car park out of the back of my mates fathers Range Rover.
Top hole.

| I was really impressed with Hull's ground and the City of Machester stadium in 2003. Infact along with the JJB (DW) all the grounds that year were superb!

| Quote JB Down Under="JB Down Under"Agreed they should play all England v Oz and NZ games at 30-40,000 grounds. France at 20-25,000 grounds.
Simple really best tickets 25quid, behind the sticks 20 quid, under 16's free
Sell clubs (amateur and professional) 10 tickets for the price of 8. Clubs make 40-50 quid on every 10 tickets sold.
RFL get wads of cash, clubs earn a fair whack and RL gets on telly in fornt of big crowds. so simple yet so far away!'"
Twenty quid ! Are you off your head ? Far too expensive to watch a bunch of no hopers get thrashed.
Seriously though i think the prices at SL games especially are mad. Bring back part time Rugby league so we can run the game at a sustainable rate.

I agree - The CC final should be played at the DW - it`s not fair expecting folk to travel down to London ...

What I meant smart a$$ was that when pretty much your whole fanbase is up north its suicide to expect them to travel down to london for a couple of internationals in their tens of thousands after funding the cup final, grand final, magic, south wales, barcelona and so on

| For 2011 the RFL do need to rethink the pricing. At Hudderfield behind the sticks, both ends were fairly full. The main stand didnt look too bad. Thankfully the cameras were on the other side and didnt show the very empty middle blocks on the side opposite the main stand.

| If the international games are to be played as seem likely, on a Saturday, then NEVER EVER AGAIN SHOULD IT BE TAKEN TO THE DW STADIUM in Wigan. Sorry Wigganers, but until you start complaining about whoever is in charge of the traffic to attend matches for international, and manage to get it organised, either by having some police on points duty, then I suggest RFL cancels any big matches ever again.
The Reeboc would have been a much better choice.
Well done to Huddersfield, who obviously have their traffic police better trained at operating the lights for travelling fans. They hold the traffic up to allow all the coaches/cars to leave the stadium and so on to the motorways in record time.
And Dico, sorry if you think it is too dear to go to Wembley. It's a pleasure you still have to experience as you grow in years and begin to have more than just pocket money to save up for treats. Take it from gran, you'll enjoy it with all the clubs, etc in west end to sample!
Hope I see even more of you at Elland Road, saw a few Wigganers last weekend, as well as a family sat next to me at Wembley and enjoyed their company as do all travelling fans who mix very well.
Come on ENGLAND, .....grannyfan Cindy

Quote andyed-wiganrl="andyed-wiganrl"what they need to do rather than doing desperate last minute things like this....
viewtopic.php?t=435671
(which even if successful in selling out will be a false economy and lose money) is to send tickets out like RU do at the start of the season to all the clubs in the league and all amateur clubs, who then sell the tickets and keep a proportion for club funds (thus having an incentive to sell the tickets themselves as agents of the RFL)
Just googled barla and found that as at 1999 there were 1,500 amateur RL clubs in the country (I would expect that to be somewhere between 2000-2,500 now if not more).......now if each of them cant sell 20-30 on average, each NL1 and NL2 side 200 - 300, each SL side 1,000 then its a bad job!!'"
Great post andy, with which I agree, and I posted the RFU's strategy on the thread [url=http://viewtopic.php?t=435271&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=15A simple way to increase crowds at Internationals[/url

| Exactly.
Sell 50% to corporates and add that on too and that is your typical international union crowd.
