Come on bulls ! big game , hopefully a big win'"
This will be Wigan's fifth game of the season so far, all fans know their team will suffer a loss of form at some point in the season, but I highly doubt we (Wigan) will suffer it after only four games.
Anyway surely you want to face the best in the league playing at their best, that way you'll get a better understanding of how good your side is.

Losig 42-12 doesn't sound like giving them much of a game imo.
Bradford 22-18 Wigan
Will be a tough game regardless for us, I just want to see 100% effort and the desire to win.

| Quote Ewwenorfolk="Ewwenorfolk"I hope we take advantage of Phelps being out by constantly peppering Goulding with high balls as Roberts has dropped to full-back.'"
Phelps is back in the side according to MaGuire which gives us our strongest back line available in Phelps, Roberts, Gleeson, Carmont and Richards. All who are in fantastic form.
Feka and Harrison Hansen were both rested last week and will be fresh for this game.
Our defence this year has been nothing short of outstanding. We have played 8 halves of rugby league and kept our opponents to zero in four of them. We have only let in 2 tries in our three home matches. Bradford only put seven past Salford last week and Salford look like the worst team in Super League. I'm stunned a few on here are chuffed with the result.
Anything can happen, but there is a real buzz around Wigan at the moment and the team is full of confidence. Providing we don't get complacent I can't see anything else other than a Wigan win.
Let's hope it's a cracker.

Thats what i fear the most as a wigan fan, go into the game complacent and we will lose
But if our forwards keep up their performances like they have been the last four games i will think you will struggle. And phelps is fit it will be a huge plus as it gives us more options in attack

I'm hoping for a cracker aswell, Lynch, Scruton, Langley and Menzies are all on form so it should be a cracking battle in the forwards, I'm just hoping (with phelps back) that your back-line doesn't totally outclass us. I wasnt too thrilled with the 1 try against Salford, but In Monsoon conditions I was glad to keep them nilled, we haven't been too good at the Willows in recent times either.
I don't think Wigan will run away with this one from what I've seen from us in the last 2 games, but I'm just hoping we go into the game all gins blazing with the effort that was shown vs Cas.

I agree with the names mentioned being ones to look out for. Steve Menzies has been a class act and I suspect MaGuire will know all about him. Our forwards haven't been too shabby either. Stuart Fielden and Andy Coley have been outstanding in the opening weeks. It's like watching two different players. Joel Tomkins is a real class act. Keep an eye on that lad. The forwards battle, as you say, should be a real cracker. However (again as you quite fairly admit to) I think our backs will be the difference. Our backs are on form, confident and have so much skill to offer I just can't see Bradford containing them.
It's going to take something special to unlock our defence at the minute. It's been superb and that has been a real focus from our coaching staff. Brett Kearney has impressed me more than Matt Orford. The setup from him for your only try against Salford was fantastic. Although the conditions played a part, I did expect Bradford to post some more points past Salford. We played on the same night on a dreadful pitch (watch the highlights) and still managed to score 58 points. I expected a real forwards battle and for it to be a tough, close game (How wrong was I!).
If our forwards can win the arm wrestle then I think the game could definitely run away from you. Once our tails are up we are a very hard team to stop. Once we score one try we tend to score another straight away. It was a devastating 15 minute spell that killed Warrington. Bradford will be no pushovers on their own patch and I'm sure you will give us a game, but I am very confident of a Wigan win. We have the best defence in the league and the best attack. Our lads are playing with confidence and flair. Form is behind us and with Phelps returning I can't see anything other than a Wigan win.

| Think it will be a tough match, and we are really looking forward to it. Hope it won't be as tense as the "Greatest Comeback" - sorry to bring that up again guys!!
Does anyone know of a decent curry house near to the ground, we are travelling up from Stoke early afternoon & thought we would try & fit in a sneaky curry - thanks.

| Wigan were lucky to get passed warrington and who else have they played really? I am confident of a good victory here and at the same time exposing the myth that Wigan are the team to beat!
I'll go 8-0!

Well sounds like a foregone conclusion then, Bradford may as well just concede now!
Seriously though, we haven't been in scintillating form recently but if we play somewhere near OUR best then I see no reason why we cannot beat an in form Wigan side. If we can compete in the forwards we have enough experience and quality at halfback to put some points on the board. We'll certainly need our best performance of the year so far though.. can't wait already!
