I won't be setting off until I hear news on 12 o'clock inspection now. If they don't mention anything until an hour after the inspection again, I think I'll give it a miss.

Do Leeds still have undersoil or was that ripped out years ago? Seem to recall it being taken out, excellent job by Leeds if they've managed to keep the game on with just covers.

I don't think it does have undersoil, as I'm sure I remember reading that's one of the reasons behind playing the WCC at Elland Road, to guarantee it goes ahead, regardless of weather.



Leeds have had things out on Thursday and Today asking for volunteers to come down and help clear the snow from the pitch. Perhaps Cas and others should have done that.

My plan this morning was to just go as if everything was fine, thinking if anything gets changed, the Bulls will post it on their site and my Twitter would alert me to that via my phone. Good job I didn't stick with that plan, otherwise I'd be on my way to Cas right now.

That`s correct. The "electric blanket", as it was known, caused too many problems with the drainage so was dug up and not re-instated after improvements a good few years back. Funnily enough the Headingley pitch always seemed very good back then but nowadays seems to resemble a beach on some occasions.
