The newly revamped club website shows a 29-man squad, and there are quite a few other additions. It's not just a mock-up web-page because there are profile pictures of most of the new names wearing Oxford kit.

Ashley Browne certainly stood out at the trial (before the kick-off as well as during the action). Kashley Watkins is the older brother of Kallum, whilst Ben Jones-Bishop has a league-playing brother called Aaron so I imagine that's him.





The squad list also implies some departures but I'll leave that for club announcements.

Tommy Connick played in the Capital Challenge today for London Skolars - not sure if he has signed for them or it was a one-off.



Also Mike Benson started the game and Dave Ellison was on the bench. No sign of Michael Crabtree.

Hope I'm wrong but I fear Tommy has gone. I'm sure he's have been one of the first names we tried to re-sign. The lack of an announcement spoke volumes even before this news. Good luck to him, a good player. Likewise Dave Ellison, sadly with the club cutting cloth financially his injury record last season would have counted against him. Hope he has an injury free season wherever he plays. His ability to do a 60 minute shift makes a fit Dave Ellison a huge asset. Skolars look to be building a decent team for 2015.

Missed this one at the time but Gloucestershire confirmed Callum Mulkeen has signed for 2015 on 9th January. Another team who seem to be kicking on in terms of their squad.

Jordan Rice has returned north and is trialling with York City Knights.

Unfortunately with little or no work prospects in the UK, Jamie accepted an offer from Sawtell to play in NSW with a job attached.The Oxford management and coaching staff have been extremely understanding and the "door"is definitely not shut if thing go belly up
