Not coincidentally the only two times he's played as part of a decent team, though it's hardly flat-track as those teams would have been underdogs against the opposition.



Chase is an excellent player, and would look even better surrounded by higher-quality players than he is now.

Chase is a good player who looks outstanding in a team which doesnt expect much. He is a world beater to fans who are happy to forgive and make excuses for his mistakes.



He is a player whose moments of quality are remembered by fans supporting a team short on quality and his struggles forgotten by fans supporting a team which struggles a lot.



It is easy look good when you can run riot against poor teams, and other people are blamed when you cant impose yourself.



It remains to be seen if Chase could play at the level you need to with a top side, with the consistency you need with a top side, and under the pressure and scrutiny of a top side. At 25, signing a 4 year deal with a lower mid-table side I think we have our answer.

Personally would have smith at FB, BJb on wing, but I wouldn't have retained Webb. Suppose he gives some competition for spots.

If Hardaker is a regular starter next season, nantwichexile will have proclaimed him past it by August and be campaigning for the captain of the under 9s to be given a chance in the first team instead.

Chase would have been a fantastic signing. Has played consistently well in an average team - a bit like Schoey for us in the 90's - which is always a sign of a decent half.
