You don't sign players to "send a message". You sign them to improve the team. If someone fits that bill, and if the budget can be made available (not a sure thing given how much money the club loses, this is going to be £150/£200k/whatever over the planned spend) then yes definitely go out and get them.

That would be a great signing. Seems improbable but fingers crossed your contact is right.

Then I don't see it. Three things would need to happen for it to come off:


1) Litten would have to be willing to leave HKR and join Leeds. Whilst this is possible with the right incentives, it's a long way from likely.
2) HKR would have to be willing to sell. Unless Litten told them he wouldn't play for them again, why would they sell him to a direct rival?
3) Leeds would have to be willing to meet a transfer fee set by HKR.


I don't see this one happening for all three reasons above.
