Chris Smith - i apologise unreservedly for my posts. I accept there's no need for it and I will refrain from purposely poking the stick into the bees nest. As you have alluded to - everyone is entitled to their opinions and styles of posting and it isn't for me to pick them apart with meaningless technicalities. We are both Halifax fans and ultimately want the same end.

Lets hope the team win the final, £100,000 would cover a few contracts! Its a good motivator for the team if they want to play next year!

Makes me laugh this board, if you dare to criticise and question just ever so slightly anything to do with fax your not a "true" fan and get hoarded to death in a heard or sheep like mentality. I know Chris Smith and see him every game home and away wearing his Fax shirt, trust me he is a better or more worthy or true fan then a lot on here, so what he questions certain things at the club, its a fans right and the reason for doing so is simple, he like all of us wants to see the club do well or better and just cos we finished 2nd doesn't mean we are the finished article or we can rest on our laurels (spelling), the club has made some massive mistakes this year that have grabbed headlines and cost the club tens of thousands of pounds in lost income which I'd hazard a guess will have ripple affects into next season, I'd say fans have every right to question things as long as they go about it in an orderly fashion which Mr Smith does, I see him before and after in the south stand sweat box lounge, he mingles with the players etc, he's not your usual full of fan yet the old fax board heard mentality kicks in at his every post, as a person if your not asked questions of how will you improve, you won't, same goes for the club.



Its been a brilliant season that I enjoyed more then last season, I think we have done well, do I think we could have done better on and off the field, yes, of course, is that so wrong, no, but I guess it makes me a lesser fan then some on here for thinking that.

People should have the freedom to post their concerns of course. My reaction was over the top but borne out of frustration with some fans. Of course the club has made mistakes and as fans we have the right to criticise but we often forget that the people running the club do so on a voluntary basis. It's not the professional set up you see at some clubs, it's not the best well oiled machine but the people there are putting in 100% to make sure we can finish in second or appear in a GF and indeed remain competitive. The job they've done in bringing top class players to this club is nothing short of outstanding.



I half expect to read soon that someone like Michael Steele will just chuck in the towel. Maybe that's why he's gone on his cruise!
